Compact and trailing, Pelargonium peltatum 'Cascade Lachs Compact' creates a gentle waterfall from your baskets, window boxes and containers from June to October. An ivy leaf geranium, with distinctive fleshy, dark green, evergreen leaves which are very similar in shape to the native Hedera, hence the common name. Their succulence helps towards their drought tolerance. Usually shown in iconic images of Swiss cottages, with colourful, perky, long-lasting, and hard-wearing blooms. Extremely floriferous and self-cleaning, meaning that spent blooms fall to the ground naturally, so no deadheading required. A South African native, each single blooms consists of 5 long petals and contrasting throat. Pelargonium peltatum 'Cascade Lachs Compact' will reach a height and spread of 30cm, trailing down to around 60cm. A tender annual, with an RHS hardiness rating H1C, so needs to be kept above 5°C. Cuttings can easily be taken to give you more plants the following year. Prefers full sun, in moist, well-drained soil, but will happily tolerate light shade.
