An early flowering, vigorous and upright, Hydrangea paniculata 'Early Harry' is a relative newcomer which is perfect as a cut flower, as well as a deciduous shrub. The large, conical-shaped, open blooms are borne from June to September on reddish stems which accent the pink hues of the flowers which develop as each matures. Blooms emerge creamy-white, offering a purity which is gently offset by the finely toothed, dark green foliage. Foliage also shifts and changes in colour as it matures; with leaves becoming flushed with purple and yellow in the autumn. As a large hydrangea, rest assured that Hydrangea paniculata 'Early Harry' will produce enough flowers to fill fresh vases, cover the upright, mounded shrub and leave some for drying too. What's more it is as happy growing in a large container as it is in the ground - just remember to keep it watered and fed for best results.Hydrangea paniculata 'Early Harry' prefers moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade. As a hardy, deciduous shrub it require no winter protection and will mature to a height of 2m with a spread of 1.5m.
