Vibrant, double blooms drenched in colour commencing in June and lasting to October lend warm and welcoming hues to your summer and autumn planting. Flamboyant Begonia x tuberhybrida Illumination Collection also offers attractive foliage, sometimes tinged red and accented by veined markings. Leaves emerge in March and last through to November time and the generous, trailing habit (from 40-60cm) makes the Illumination series ideal for creating cascading waterfalls of foliage and flower in pots, baskets, or even at the edge of a rockery wall. Your Flamboyant Begonia x tuberhybrida Illumination Collection comprises Apricot Shades; a new Scarlet variety and the AGM holding Orange variety. Each is a tuberous perennial which will bring you masses of large, blousy blooms with good weather and disease resistance built in. Plants prefer moist, well-drained soil which is loam or sand based. Position in full sun or partial shade and plants will reach a height and spread of approximately 40-50cm. As tender, tuberous perennials plants will need to be lifted and kept in a dry, frost free environment over winter ready to replant the following spring. Alternatively, treat as annuals.
