A radiant addition to your garden, Escallonia ‘Golden Carpet’ is a beauty all-year-round. Boasting vibrant, golden-yellow and green foliage, your borders and containers will be bursting with colour. Its dense and compact growth habit makes it ideal for weed-suppressing groundcover, adding a touch of warmth and brightness to garden beds and patio areas. Not only does Escallonia ‘Golden Carpet’ dazzle with its foliage, but it also produces clusters of delicate pink-red flowers in July and August, attracting bees and butterflies with its sweet fragrance. With its low-maintenance nature and ability to tolerate a variety of soil conditions, including coastal environments, plant in moist, well-drained soil, in any aspect in sun or partial shade. Reaching a height of around 60cm, and spreading up to 1m, this hardy shrub will cope with temperatures down to around -15°C.
