Alchemilla mollis ‘Thriller’ produces clouds of acid green blooms above a lush bed of frilled and scalloped foliage from May to July. Brilliant for underplanting shrubs or providing groundcover at the forefront of borders and pathway edges - adding a bright, yet soft, cottage garden feel. A large border layered with Hydrangea arborescens ‘Annabelle’, Phlox paniculata ‘Rembrandt’, and Alchemilla mollis will look full and fresh with the shapes and textures echoing one another. This large, impactful Alchemilla mollis prefers to be grown in moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade. The flowers are excellent for cutting and can be dried for use later in the season. Alchemilla mollis ‘Thriller’ will readily naturalise and self-seed so remove flowerheads immediately after blooming if this generous habit is not required. Plants prefer a spot in well-drained soil and are able to copy with conditions ranging from full sun to full shade, growing to a mature height and spread of 60cm. a hardy, herbaceous perennial which holds its foliage from March to November time.
